John R. Hart
CEO of Sarasota Private Trust Company and Vice Chairman of New York Private Bank & Trust Company. He has 40+ years of experience in banking, primarily in Investments and Private Wealth Management. Mr. Hart is responsible for the Capital Markets and Private Banking Divisions of Emigrant Bank. He serves as a Director of Emigrant Mortgage Company, Inc., Emigrant Funding Corporation and Emigrant Agency Inc. Prior to New York Private Bank & Trust, he was a Senior Director of Capital Markets at Meritor Savings Bank. Mr. Hart received his M.B.A. in Finance and Banking from Saint Joseph’s University and a B.A. in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University.
George J. Dickson, Jr.
George J. Dickson, Jr. is Senior Executive Vice President, Co-head of Capital Markets and Chief Investment Officer for New York Private Bank and Trust and Emigrant Bank. Mr. Dickson has been an executive officer of Emigrant Bank since 1988. He is a founding member of the Bank’s Asset/Liability Committee, managing and advising nearly $5 billion of mortgage-backed securities, corporate bonds, preferred stocks, U.S. Government Securities, and municipal bonds. Mr. Dickson also advises separately managed accounts for New York Private Bank & Trust clients and reviews alternative investment allocations for suitability.
For more than 30 years, he has been integrally involved with all of the Bank’s Capital Markets initiatives, ranging from operating the wholesale money market desk to the highly successful U.S. Treasury, GNMA MBS, and municipal bond trading programs. He created and managed the NYPB&T Municipal Liquidity Fund (MF-1 LP), a special purpose hedge fund designed to capitalize on unique opportunities that arose during the financial crisis. Prior to joining Emigrant Bank, he was an Investment Strategist at Meritor (PSFS) Bank in Philadelphia.
Mr. Dickson holds a B.S. degree from Drexel University, with a dual major in Finance and Economics, and an M.S. from the University of Pennsylvania.
Angelo G. Gambino, CFA
Senior Vice President. Mr. Gambino is responsible for the Bank's equity, alternative investments and pension fund portfolios. His experience spans high yield, public equities, private transactions, hedge funds and alternative investments. During his 25 year tenure with the bank, Mr. Gambino structured and managed several client products including private equity funds and a fund of hedge funds. He holds a B.S. from Fordham University's College of Business Administration.
Maulik Kadakia
Senior Associate. Mr. Kadakia helps manage the Bank’s corporate, municipal and mortgage-backed securities investment portfolios. He also advises separately managed fixed-income accounts for New York Private Bank & Trust clients. Prior to joining Emigrant, Mr. Kadakia was an investment associate at Fortress Investment Group and started his career at Cantor Fitzgerald where he built fixed income models for ABS, MBS and structured credit products. Mr. Kadakia holds a B.S. in Finance, Accounting, Economics and International Business from Drexel University.
Nicholas J. Oster, CFA
Vice President. Mr. Oster currently works with private banking clients to develop portfolio strategies and manages NYPB&T’s proprietary ETF model portfolios. He supports the Emigrant Capital Markets Division across equity, derivatives, fixed income, and alternative assets. Prior to joining Emigrant, he was an equity research analyst for Drexel University’s Endowment Fund. He held prior positions at Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management and within J.P. Morgan’s Global Treasury and Liquidity Risk Reporting Group. Mr. Oster holds a B.S. from Drexel University, with a dual major in Finance and Economics.
Patrick Dwyer
Associate. Mr. Dwyer currently serves as a generalist, assisting the Capital Markets group across corporate, municipal, MBS, and alternative assets. Prior to joining Emigrant, he was an equity research analyst for Drexel University’s Endowment Fund. He held prior positions with Macquarie Group in their Asset Management group and J.P. Morgan, working with their securities lending team. Mr. Dwyer holds a B.S. from Drexel University, with a major in Finance.
